YZJ Shipbldg SGD's stock surged 4.23% during pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the company's announcement of significant new contract wins.
The shipbuilder reported securing new shipbuilding orders for 22 vessels in the first quarter of 2026, valued at approximately US$ 980 million. The contract mix includes containerships, oil tankers, and bulk carriers, with deliveries scheduled for 2028-2029.
This latest contract win brings Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's outstanding order book to about USD 23 billion for 256 vessels, signaling robust future revenue streams and strong business momentum in the shipbuilding sector.
