According to an announcement on October 14th evening, Ele.me's City Riders WeChat official account released information regarding the cancellation of overtime penalty deductions for riders. The platform is currently piloting the elimination of overtime deductions across multiple cities.

The program is currently being tested in cities including Nantong, Changzhou, Jieyang, and Jingdezhen, with plans to expand coverage to additional cities throughout October.

Ele.me stated that the platform is piloting a new service scoring system, replacing the previous overtime deduction penalties with service point deductions and other methods. This aims to achieve a "work more, earn more" and "perform better, earn better" compensation structure.

The platform will gradually phase out overtime penalty deductions and upgrade anti-fatigue measures, including the addition of intelligent AI assistants that provide advance voice reminders. The company is also optimizing its "mandatory offline" feature as part of a broader shift from negative punishment-based management toward positive incentive-driven approaches.
