ACI Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ: ACIW) saw its stock price surge 8.46% in pre-market trading on Thursday, following the release of its impressive second-quarter results and improved full-year outlook. The payment software provider significantly outperformed analyst expectations, demonstrating strong growth across key financial metrics.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, ACI Worldwide reported adjusted earnings of $0.35 per share, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.09 by a remarkable 272.34%. While this represents a 25.53% decrease from the $0.47 per share reported in the same period last year, it still significantly exceeded market expectations. The company's quarterly revenue reached $401.258 million, beating the analyst estimate of $380.488 million by 5.46% and marking a 7.44% increase from the $373.479 million reported in the previous year.

Adding to the positive sentiment, ACI Worldwide raised its full-year 2025 guidance. The company now projects total revenue in the range of $1.71 billion to $1.74 billion, up from its previous guidance of $1.69 billion to $1.72 billion. Additionally, the adjusted EBITDA forecast for 2025 has been increased to between $490 million and $505 million, surpassing the earlier projection of $480 million to $495 million. The improved outlook reflects the company's confidence in its growth trajectory, particularly in its recurring revenue streams and key segments such as Payment Software and Biller, which saw year-to-date growth of 18% and 13% respectively.
