Over 300 Production and Technical Staff On Duty During Spring Festival as XinYueNeng Semiconductor Pushes for Strong Start

During the Spring Festival holiday, Guangdong XinYueNeng Semiconductor Co., Ltd., located in Wanqingsha Town, Nansha, remained a hub of activity. For modern fabrication plants, uninterrupted operation of production lines 365 days a year is standard practice. It is reported that over 300 engineers and operators stayed at their posts during the holiday to ensure the precise operation of the production lines. According to Shao Yonghua, the fab manager of XinYueNeng Semiconductor, production line operations were carefully scheduled to maintain stable capacity utilization and fully support urgent delivery requirements for customers. Production and technical teams were led by senior engineers on duty, with a two-shift rotation system in place for key positions to ensure timely responses at critical stages. The scale of staff remaining on duty this Spring Festival was similar to last year, with over 300 core production and technical personnel providing strong support for stable output during the holiday period.

XinYueNeng Semiconductor is a manufacturer focused on the development and production of silicon carbide chips for automotive-grade and industrial control applications. Its products are primarily used in new energy vehicle main drive inverters, OBC and renewable energy storage inverters, servers, industrial power supplies, rail transportation, and smart grids. The company has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise, a Guangdong Provincial Specialized, Refined, Unique, and New SME, a Guangzhou "Unicorn" Innovation Enterprise, and was named a "2025 Global Unicorn" by the Hurun Research Institute. It is a leading domestic enterprise specializing in automotive-grade silicon carbide chip manufacturing. The project leverages the industrial chain cooperation advantages of its major shareholders and is the first large-scale silicon carbide chip manufacturing project in China to receive approval as a national major project, listed as a Key Industrial Project in Guangdong Province.

Shao Yonghua stated that XinYueNeng Semiconductor officially commenced operations and entered mass production in 2023. To date, its tape-out customers cover the vast majority of domestic silicon carbide design companies, with engineering batch samples for more than 50 new products from foundry customers already launched, receiving recognition for yield rate and consistency. Regarding the implementation of main drive chips in vehicles, in June 2025, an 800V electric drive system equipped with XinYueNeng's independently developed silicon carbide MOSFET main drive chip successfully rolled off the production line and entered mass production. It has secured designations from multiple automotive brands and models, with installation volumes expected to rise further in 2026 and deployment in more flagship models, successfully achieving domestic substitution for high-performance, high-reliability main drive silicon carbide chips.

During this critical period of rapid development in the artificial intelligence industry, XinYueNeng Semiconductor has taken the lead in exploring the deep integration of AI technologies into core production scenarios. In 2025, it initiated a series of "AI + Manufacturing" practices, launching an AI-based Automatic Defect Classification system. Utilizing deep learning algorithms, the system accurately identifies defect images in chip production, significantly enhancing the automation level and consistency of defect detection and accelerating the quality feedback loop. Simultaneously, the company is collaborating with universities on research into digital twin models, building analytical models and simulation platforms for re-entrant production processes, laying the foundation for an intelligent production management and control system.

Furthermore, as overseas customers are onboarded and end-products equipped with XinYueNeng chips gradually enter the international market, the company will systematically advance its participation in the formulation of various domestic and international technical and verification standards in 2026. This effort aims to ensure product compliance with more critical overseas certification and standard requirements, fully promoting the validation process for international customers.
