Amsterdam-based cryptocurrency service provider Amdax announced on Monday its plans to launch a Bitcoin treasury company called AMBTS (Amsterdam Bitcoin Treasury Strategy Company) on the Dutch stock exchange.

Amdax's initiative highlights the growing appeal of Bitcoin, which has reached record highs this month.

"Currently, over 10% of Bitcoin's supply is held by corporations, governments, and institutions. We believe now is the time to establish a Bitcoin treasury company and seek listing on Euronext Amsterdam, one of Europe's leading exchanges," said Lucas Wincin, CEO of Amdax.

Since the beginning of 2025, Bitcoin has surged nearly 32%, setting new all-time highs. This rally has been fueled by regulatory victories for the industry following Donald Trump's return to the White House.

Trump has called himself the "crypto president," and his family has made multiple ventures into the sector over the past year.

Amdax and AMBTS plan to raise capital from numerous private investors in their initial funding round, while AMBTS's long-term objective is to hold at least 1% of all Bitcoin over time.
