Zhongji Innolight Plunges 16%: Market Cap Dissolves Over 180 Billion Yuan on 51.6 Billion Yuan Volume, Optical Module Sector Sees Sharp Correction

Shares of Zhongji Innolight Co., Ltd. (A-share code: 300308) plummeted 15.69% to 908 yuan, erasing more than 180 billion yuan in market value and bringing its total capitalization back to 1 trillion yuan. The stock's daily trading volume surged to 51.6 billion yuan.

The company announced that its Hong Kong IPO, priced at 980 Hong Kong dollars per share, will offer 54.5 million shares to raise a total of 53.4 billion Hong Kong dollars. This is set to be the largest H-share listing in 2026 so far. Once listed in Hong Kong, Zhongji Innolight will adopt an A+H share structure.

From its peak of 1,367 yuan on June 26, 2026, the stock has now corrected by over 30%. The broader optical module sector is experiencing a collective downturn. Alongside Zhongji Innolight, Eoptolink Technology Inc., Ltd. (Shenzhen: 300502) also tumbled 17% to close at 406.9 yuan, giving it a market value of 567.3 billion yuan. Tianfu Communication Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen: 300394) fell 13.21% to 181.56 yuan, resulting in a market cap of 198.1 billion yuan.

These three companies—Zhongji Innolight, Eoptolink, and Tianfu Communication—are collectively known in the market as "Yi Zhong Tian." Eoptolink is a core global supplier of optical communication modules, Zhongji Innolight is a domestic leader in optical modules with advantages in 800G product shipments, and Tianfu Communication is a frontrunner in silicon photonics engine technology. All three are deeply tied to AI infrastructure demand, benefiting from the AI computing power boom through their involvement in cutting-edge technologies like CPO (Co-Packaged Optics). This has led to their prominent stock and earnings performance in recent years, earning them the playful nickname "Yi Zhong Tian."

The sustained decline of these "Yi Zhong Tian" stocks stems from the optical module sector's prolonged structural bull market from mid-2025 to June 2026. The market is now correcting the overly optimistic expectations built up over the past year, leading to valuation digestion and rapidly widening divergence within the optical module track. As high-beta stocks within the sector, each of these companies is undergoing a deep adjustment.

Furthermore, the high-speed optical module space has seen a continuous influx of new participants. The market is increasingly concerned that intensified competition could compress profit margins. This, combined with a growing divergence in the conventional perception of the optical industry's "high barriers to entry," is further driving the collective sell-off of related stocks.

Other companies in the sector are also feeling the pressure. Demly Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen: 300954) has experienced multiple consecutive trading halts and hit its daily limit down again, closing at 361.44 yuan with a market cap of 82 billion yuan. Victory Giant Technology (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen: 300476) fell 12% to 210.18 yuan, giving it a market value of 206.6 billion yuan. GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc. (Shanghai: 603986) also hit its daily limit down, closing at 390.63 yuan with a market cap of 274.1 billion yuan. In just one month, GigaDevice has lost more than 50% of its market value.
