Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Climb Across the Board, One-Month Rate Hits 2.63%

On August 19, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates saw an upward trend across all tenors, with the one-month rate closely tied to mortgage loans rising by 5.0 basis points to 2.62655%.

The three-month rate, which serves as a key indicator of bank funding costs, increased by 4.857 basis points to 2.93649%. Meanwhile, the overnight rate surged by 21.035 basis points to 2.52321%, and the one-week rate climbed 22.845 basis points to 2.51780%.

The two-week rate advanced by 9.839 basis points to 2.54482%, while the two-month rate moved up 2.941 basis points to 2.83649%. On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate edged 1.256 basis points higher to 3.20000%, whereas the one-year rate held steady at 3.50000%.
