The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with other relevant departments, officially announced on September 9th a fresh list of professional designations. This new release introduces 11 entirely new occupations, such as ship-to-shore management engineering technicians, embodied intelligence robot application technicians, and sports data analysts, while also expanding the roster with 23 novel job roles that include community workers, low-altitude logistics operators, and senior-friendly renovation designers. Concurrently, the authorities have adjusted or updated the information for 6 existing professions or roles, including agricultural product brokers.

Among the newly announced occupations, five are classified as digital professions and three as green professions. This latest addition brings the cumulative national totals for digital and green professions to 113 and 142, respectively. In the realm of modern service-oriented careers, this batch of new occupations and job roles caters to a wide spectrum of needs. On one hand, it addresses corporate growth and industrial upgrading with positions such as sustainable development planners, airport clear-zone patrol officers, and intelligent agent developers. On the other hand, it also responds to the public's aspirations for a better life by introducing roles like incense craft artists, smart furniture installation and adjustment workers, and fresh-cut flower processors.

Since 2019, China has released a cumulative total of 121 new occupations across 8 separate batches, reflecting the nation's dynamic and evolving employment landscape.
