Singapore Telecommunications Limited said on Jul, 30 2026 that it is in discussions with unnamed parties about a potential sale of a stake in its Australian subsidiary Optus.
The company emphasised that there is “no certainty or assurance” any deal will be reached and pledged to make further announcements if material developments arise.
Singtel reiterated its intention to work with a like-minded Australian minority partner to keep Optus a strong alternative operator in the market, as previously stated on May, 21 2026.
The group advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in Singtel shares ahead of any definitive announcement.
