On April 29, it was observed that Tencent's Hunyuan new model, Hy3 preview, ranked first in OpenRouter's latest global daily large language model API call leaderboard. In the weekly rankings, Hy3 preview currently holds the sixth position, with Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6 occupying the top spot.

OpenRouter is recognized as the world's largest API distribution marketplace for large language models, integrating access to over 300 different models. The Hy3 preview was officially released and open-sourced on April 23. It represents not only the first major model from the Hunyuan series following a comprehensive, full-chain reconstruction but also marks the first significant achievement under the leadership of Tencent's Chief AI Scientist and Head of the AI Infra and Large Language Model departments, Yao Shunyu.

The Hy3 preview has garnered substantial market attention, with focused enhancements in areas such as coding, agent capabilities, instruction following, and contextual understanding, making it the most intelligent model in the Hunyuan series to date. Beyond integration on third-party platforms like OpenRouter, Hy3 preview is already deployed across numerous internal Tencent products, including Yuanbao, ima, WorkBuddy, and CodeBuddy. It also supports integration with mainstream open-source agent platforms such as OpenClaw, OpenCode, and KiloCode.

Furthermore, Hy3 preview is available on Tencent Cloud's large model service platform, TokenHub, through the Hy3 preview Token Plan. The personal edition is priced as low as 28 RMB per month. Yao Shunyu previously indicated that Hy3 preview is the initial step in the reconstruction of the Hunyuan large model series. Tencent aims to gather genuine feedback from the open-source community and users through this release to enhance the practicality of the official Hy3 version.
