東方證券股份有限公司 (DFZQ) (Stock Code: 03958) has announced the proposed appointment of Mr. Zhou Lei as an executive director for the sixth session of its board of directors, subject to approval at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM). The term of service will be effective from the date of the EGM’s approval until the current board session concludes.

Mr. Zhou, born in 1978, is a member of the Communist Party of China, holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree, and is an economist. He has previously held positions at Shanghai International Trust & Investment Co., Ltd.*, Shanghai International Group Asset Operation Co., Ltd.*, Shanghai International Group Asset Management Co., Ltd.*, Shanghai Aijian Trust Co., Ltd.*, Shanghai State-owned Assets Operation Co., Ltd.*, and Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd.*, among other organizations. Currently, he serves as deputy general manager and the secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Shenergy (Group) Company Limited*.

According to the announcement, Mr. Zhou has no disclosed shareholding in DFZQ or its associated corporations and has no direct relationship with any existing directors, senior management, or major shareholders. No remuneration will be paid to Mr. Zhou during his tenure. The board also resolved that he will serve as chairman, chair the Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee, join the Remuneration and Nomination Committee, and act as an authorized representative of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited once approved by the EGM.
