On the morning of September 24th, the "High-Frequency Scenarios Cost Reduction Breakthrough 2025 Enterprise Procurement Elite Summit" was held in Beijing, jointly organized by Meituan Enterprise Edition, Renmin University of China Business School, Procurement China, ACE Supply Chain Innovation, Procurement π, and Travel Daily China. Over 150 procurement business leaders from leading enterprises across finance, pharmaceuticals, internet, manufacturing and other sectors attended the conference. Professor Song Hua from Renmin University of China Business School, senior procurement expert Xing Qingfeng, and Meituan Enterprise Edition General Manager Kang Kai focused on the pain points of persistently high costs in enterprise procurement high-frequency scenarios, analyzing practical strategies and establishing a professional platform for industry experience exchange and direction exploration.

At this summit, Meituan Enterprise Edition, which serves over 10,000 enterprises, launched a "High-Frequency Consumption Scenario Cost Reduction Model Based on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) Theory." Targeting three major high-frequency enterprise consumption scenarios - business travel, employee benefits, and business reception - the model helps partner enterprises across various sectors achieve "cost reduction + efficiency improvement + risk control."

Combining survey data from over 100 procurement departments across different industries, Meituan Enterprise Edition General Manager Kang Kai shared themed content on "Procurement Cost Reduction Strategic Innovation, Breaking Through Enterprise High-Frequency Consumption Scenarios." Kang Kai stated that efficiently achieving reduced enterprise costs, improved process efficiency, and reduced compliance risks are the common core demands of procurement managers. In terms of scenarios, 70% of surveyed enterprises focus on business travel, 60% on employee benefits, and 40% on business reception, with distinct industry preferences - finance and healthcare prioritize business reception compliance, internet and technology emphasize benefit experiences, while manufacturing and retail focus on business travel negotiations. In response to this trend, Kang Kai indicated that Meituan Enterprise Edition can bring significant cost reduction effects to enterprises through four major cost reduction engines: optimizing cost structure can reduce costs by 3% to 8%, supply chain collaboration can reduce costs by 5% to 15%, and enhanced demand management can reduce costs by 2% to 5%. Additionally, Meituan Enterprise Edition will help enterprises use big data insights to anchor cost reduction directions through a "multi-scenario one-stop platform" covering all enterprise consumption scenarios, achieving "pre-event visibility and predictability, mid-event compliant booking, and post-event traceability."

At the summit, Meituan Enterprise Edition, Meituan Hotels & Homestays, and Travel Daily China jointly released "Opportunities in Sinking Markets: 2025 China Corporate Travel Trend Insights - Accommodation Edition" (hereinafter referred to as "the Report"). The report indicates that "corporate travel sinking" has become a new trend, with accommodation orders in third-tier and below cities accounting for 43.3% of Meituan Enterprise Edition platform orders in 2025. Lower-tier cities have become important corporate travel destinations and new domains for enterprise consumption scenarios. However, the survey shows that corporate travel procurement faces several core pain points requiring urgent solutions, such as over 25% of business travelers in lower-tier cities reporting "limited accommodation resources," some enterprises' hidden travel costs accounting for 5%-10% of total travel expenses, and the difficulty in balancing cost control with ensuring employee experience.

The Report focused on introducing the "Small Scenario Supply-Demand Matching Intelligence Model." This model relies on Meituan Enterprise Edition's comprehensive hotel resources covering over 300 sinking cities in China, and based on four-dimensional demands of enterprises, employees, itineraries, and dynamics, intelligently clusters 12 categories of high-frequency enterprise consumption small scenarios from millions of hotels, including esports hotels and extended-stay rooms. Through "demand-supply-efficient matching," it achieves the transformation from "people finding hotels" to "hotels finding people." This model has helped multiple leading enterprises achieve beyond-expected travel cost reduction and management upgrades. In the future, Meituan Enterprise Edition will advance from deepening supply and improving efficiency directions, continuously using this model to help enterprises seize development opportunities in third-tier and below cities.

At this summit, some enterprises with outstanding performance in consumption digitalization upgrades received high recognition from academic and industry participants, including Xiaomi, MSD (China), Organon, Taikang Insurance Group, Ping An Insurance, Bayer (China), AIA Life, Philips, Li Auto, Nestlé Health Science, and Henlius Biotech. Among these enterprises, procurement managers engage in deep cross-departmental collaboration, efficiently serving enterprise strategies, integrating cost reduction with experience enhancement through strategic-level planning, and quickly implementing optimizations through subdivided scenario innovations, providing referential practical examples for the industry.

Various factors including economic development environment and enterprise strategic directions jointly determine the upgrade direction of enterprise consumption. Meituan stated that in the future, Meituan Enterprise Edition will continue to deepen high-frequency scenario solutions, helping more enterprises achieve high-quality development while reducing procurement costs, and promoting enterprise consumption procurement toward refined and value-oriented advancement.
