MCC Secures RMB 413.64 Billion in New Contracts for H1 2026, Overseas Deals Reach RMB 36.34 Billion

Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (MCC) reported that newly signed contracts for the period January–June 2026 totalled RMB 413.64 billion. Overseas projects accounted for RMB 36.34 billion, representing approximately 8.78 % of the half-year intake.

For June alone, MCC entered into eight major agreements with an aggregate value of RMB 12.70 billion. The largest single contract was a RMB 4.67 billion mining-services agreement for the Khoemacau Copper Mine expansion in Botswana, underscoring the company’s continued exposure to international mining projects.

Domestic activity was led by urban renewal and infrastructure initiatives. Key awards included: • RMB 2.00 billion for Phase I of the Susong County urban-renewal project. • RMB 1.52 billion for open-pit mining at the Kurgaksayi Iron Mine in Xinjiang. • RMB 0.99 billion for construction of the Qianjian Guoke Innovative Medical Devices Industrial Base.

Additional contracts, each ranging from RMB 0.80 billion to RMB 0.98 billion, covered urban-village renovation in Guangzhou and Tangshan, as well as shaft and tunnel works for a 5-million-ton spodumene project in Sichuan.
