During the VivaTech technology conference in Paris, the CEO of ASML Holding NV, Christophe Fouquet, stated that the company must ensure it does not encounter supply chain limitations when servicing new projects like Elon Musk's Terafab.

In an interview on Wednesday, when questioned about new business from Terafab, Fouquet remarked that new projects represent opportunities provided supply capacity does not become a bottleneck. He emphasized the necessity of properly addressing this issue, citing Terafab as a prime example of a large-scale wafer fab project.

Fouquet also noted that demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure remains "extremely large" and discussed the future potential of constructing data centers in space.

At the time of writing, shares of ASML Holding NV were up 6% on Wednesday and have gained 30% over the past month.

ASML Holding NV is the sole global manufacturer capable of producing the most advanced lithography machines, which are critical for fabricating the cutting-edge chips used in artificial intelligence training.

Earlier this month, ASML Holding NV indicated it would participate in Musk's ambitious Terafab project. The initiative aims to build sufficient semiconductor manufacturing capacity to meet the chip demands of all the businesses under Musk's umbrella.
