On September 23, the national main event of the ninth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival kicked off in Dongjiao Village, Zaoyang City, Xiangyang, Hubei Province.

At the event site, PDD Holdings Inc (PDD) set up an offline booth for the "Duoduo Harvest Pavilion," displaying specialty products from representative agricultural regions across the country.

With the support of the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, PDD Holdings Inc (PDD) further opened a "Land of Fish and Rice Jingchu Premium Products Section," centrally showcasing Hubei's specialty goods.

Premium Produce Sells Briskly in the Duoduo Harvest Pavilion

On September 4, the day the 2026 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival Autumn Consumption Season was launched, PDD Holdings Inc (PDD) joined forces with 300,000 agricultural product merchants on its platform to launch the "Duoduo Harvest Pavilion," covering multiple categories of agricultural products such as vegetables and fruits, seafood and aquatic products, meat, poultry, eggs, and milk, as well as regional flavors.

Relying on the "Hundred Billion Support" and "2026 Duoduo Good Specialties" programs, it invested 1 billion yuan in subsidies and a 2 billion yuan traffic resource package, providing normalized and systematic support for quality agricultural product consumption over three consecutive months.

Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Baiyangdian salted duck eggs welcomed a peak sales season on PDD Holdings Inc (PDD).

Baiyangdian salted duck eggs are a National Geographical Indication product of China, known for their sandy, glutinous texture and rich, salty, oily flavor.

However, for a long time, their sales radius was limited to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and brand awareness was not high.

According to platform merchants, this year, with PDD Holdings Inc (PDD) empowering the agricultural product supply chain, the factory introduced automated production equipment, which not only greatly improved the standardization of salted duck egg products but also launched customized packaging products such as family packs and gift packs in conjunction with holiday consumption scenarios like the Mid-Autumn Festival, winning the favor of consumers in the Yangtze River Delta, Lingnan, and other regions.

"We hit explosive orders a week before the Mid-Autumn Festival, with daily sales of over 8,000 orders," said a Baiyangdian salted duck egg merchant.

In Tianshui, Gansu, Huaniu apples welcomed their harvest season in September.

Compared to selling primary agricultural products in previous years, this year, based on platform insights into consumption trends such as "health preservation" and "emerging tea drinks," local merchants not only sold Huaniu apples briskly but also developed differentiated products such as dried Huaniu apples and Huaniu apple tea, further expanding the sales channels for Huaniu apples.

"In the past two years, with the hot sales of Huaniu apples, the changes in our village are visible to the naked eye.

Dirt roads have become concrete roads, and many villagers have built new houses.

Huaniu apples have become the 'golden fruit' in everyone's hearts," said a platform merchant selling Huaniu apples.

To deeply explore and showcase regional specialty agricultural products, during the Harvest Festival, PDD Holdings Inc (PDD) also partnered with CCTV News to launch a origin tracing documentary program, going deep into Yunnan, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Gansu, and other places to thoroughly reveal the full chain of planting, harvesting, sorting, packaging, and transportation of regional specialty agricultural products such as Yunnan mushrooms and flowers, Hubei lotus root and crayfish, and Gansu Tianshui Huaniu apples, showcasing origin stories and further boosting the visibility of regional specialty agricultural products.
