Motorists should prepare for higher costs at the pump as the next scheduled fuel price adjustment is set for 24:00 on September 24th, marking the final update before the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday break.

Based on data through September 22nd, retail gasoline and diesel prices are forecast to climb by 540 yuan per tonne. This translates to an anticipated increase of between 0.41 and 0.49 yuan per liter, meaning a standard 50-liter tank refill could cost approximately 20.5 to 24.5 yuan more than before.

The figures above are preliminary estimates. The final adjustment will be officially confirmed and announced by the National Development and Reform Commission.
