Mapletree Industrial Trust (ME8U) reported that all four ordinary resolutions tabled at its 16th Annual General Meeting on Jul, 21 2026 were duly approved by more than 97 % of votes cast.

The meeting, held at 20 Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore, adopted the trustee’s report, the manager’s statement and the audited financial statements for the financial year ended Mar, 31 2026. Unitholders also re-appointed KPMG LLP as auditor until the next AGM and authorised the manager to fix its remuneration.

A general mandate allowing the manager to issue new units—capped at 50 % of the trust’s issued units, with up to 20 % on a non-pro-rata basis—was approved with 97.00 % of votes in favour. In addition, a unit buy-back mandate enabling the repurchase of up to 5 % of issued units at no more than 105 % of the five-day average closing price secured 99.87 % support.

During a question-and-answer session, management addressed unitholder concerns over declining net asset value per unit and distribution per unit, citing North American data-centre vacancy issues and higher borrowing costs. The trust confirmed plans to divest about 500 million to 600 million Singapore dollars worth of North American assets, subject to market conditions, while exploring growth opportunities in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

The board introduced newly appointed director Ms. Soo Yar Ping and noted the forthcoming departure of Ms. Wendy Koh on Jul, 30 2026. The meeting was chaired by Board Chairman Mr. Cheah Kim Teck and concluded at 4:15 p.m. Singapore time.
