DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy firm, has announced a new financing agreement with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to support a battery energy storage project in the country, as confirmed in an emailed statement.

The loan ranks among the most substantial debt financing deals the U.S. agency has extended to Ukraine and represents its largest investment in the nation's energy sector since the onset of the conflict with Russia.

Commenting on the development, DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko stated that the approval will enable the company to continue channeling funds into reserve projects, thereby strengthening energy security in the years ahead.
