Shares of bioprocessing technology company Repligen surged 6.59% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, as investors reacted to a robust second-quarter financial report that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.54, beating the consensus estimate of $0.45 by 20%, and a 45.95% increase from $0.37 in the same quarter last year. Revenue rose 12.16% year-over-year to $204.1 million, surpassing the analyst forecast of $201.5 million. The strong performance was driven by sustained order momentum and the diversification of its product portfolio.
Adding to the positive sentiment, Repligen raised its full-year 2026 financial outlook. The company now projects adjusted EPS in the range of $2.03 to $2.09, up from its prior guidance of $1.97 to $2.05, and above the FactSet consensus of $2.00. Revenue guidance was also lifted to between $813 million and $835 million. The raised forecast, coupled with the upcoming acquisition of BioLife Solutions, is expected to further strengthen the company's growth trajectory.
