On Tuesday, the majority of Chinese concept stocks traded higher, with Hesai (HSAI.US) leading the charge by surging more than 6%. PDD Holdings Inc (PDD.US) followed closely, gaining over 4%, while Futu Holdings Limited (FUTU.US) and Pony AI Inc (PONY.US) both advanced more than 3%. Trip.com Group Limited (TCOM.US) also posted a solid increase of over 2%.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai Composite Index opened higher and continued its ascent throughout the session, achieving a rare 13-day winning streak on its daily chart. The index surpassed the previous high set on November 14, 2025, reaching its highest level since late July 2015. The Hang Seng Index also climbed 1.38% on the day.

The positive sentiment was partly fueled by the 2026 People's Bank of China Work Conference held on January 5-6. During the conference, while outlining key tasks for the year, officials emphasized the continuation of a moderately accommodative monetary policy.
