Palantir gained 3.3% after the software company won a contract with the U.S. Navy to manage the supply chain of a nuclear submarine fleet in the hope of reducing maintenance downtime. The deal, valued at $448 million, is being paid for with money from President Donald Trump's signature spending bill.

A total number of 799.84K options related to Palantir was traded on Wednesday, up 247% from the previous trading day, of which call options accounted for 59%. Oracle missed a slew of Wall Street estimates for sales, operating profit and future cloud-computing contract growth, a sign that corporate spending on its cloud services may be cooling amid broader concerns of a bubble in the artificial intelligence market. Shares of the Austin, Texas-based company were down 13% in overnight trading.
