Healthcare technology provider Omnicell (Nasdaq: OMCL) has announced the appointment of Nnamdi Njoku as its President. Njoku, who has been serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Omnicell since October 2024, will continue to report to the company's Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Randall Lipps, following this promotion.

Njoku joined Omnicell in 2024, bringing approximately 25 years of operational management experience in the global healthcare and medical technology sectors. Previously, he served as President of the Sports Medicine, Surgical, Upper Extremity, and Rehabilitation Therapy business at Zimmer Biomet. He also spent over 18 years at Medtronic, holding several senior executive positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and President of the Neuromodulation division, overseeing a business of approximately $2 billion. Njoku holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.

Since its founding in 1992, Omnicell has focused on providing medication management automation solutions for healthcare organizations. Through a portfolio of robotics, intelligent devices, software workflows, and data analytics, the company aims to enhance patient safety, reduce medication errors, and improve operational efficiency. In December 2025, the company launched its next-generation automated dispensing system, Titan XT, extending automation and intelligent technology to the point of care. When Njoku was previously appointed as COO, Lipps noted that his passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare, along with his strategic insight and execution skills, would help drive the company's continued growth.

This executive appointment comes as Omnicell continues to advance its vision for the autonomous pharmacy. The company reported total annual revenue of $1.185 billion for the full year 2025, representing a 7% year-over-year increase.
