To strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, expand student internship and employment channels, and enhance recognition of national industrial culture, Yantai First Vocational Secondary School (Yantai Economics School) organized over 80 student representatives from the class of 2022 to visit Polaris Clock (Group) Co., Ltd. for a learning exchange on April 22. The delegation was warmly received by company leaders including Executive General Manager Li Xiaoran and Assistant General Manager Liu Yue.

Guided by interpreters, students explored the corporate culture wall, systematically learning about Polaris's century-long development journey since its establishment in 1915. Yellowed photographs and vintage clock models displayed on exhibition boards silently narrated the enterprise's evolution from "industrial salvation of the nation" to "craftsmanship inheritance." In the historical exhibition area documenting industrial patriotism, some students were drawn to an antique pocket watch engraved with "SINCE 1915." One student remarked, "I never realized such a small timepiece carries such profound historical significance about industrial nation-building."

The group then proceeded to observe production and assembly workshops, witnessing the complete manufacturing process from component processing to final assembly. Automated equipment worked in tandem with meticulous manual operations, showcasing critical procedures including gear engagement, hand installation, and movement calibration. Technical staff provided detailed explanations about precision control,工艺标准, and quality inspection methods in modern clock manufacturing, quantifying error margins and inspection frequencies for key processes. Students listened attentively, took notes, and actively inquired about materials and assembly techniques.

Following the tour, Executive General Manager Li Xiaoran delivered an inspiring career planning lecture sharing his professional growth experience. Emphasizing skill accumulation, position dedication, and continuous learning, he encouraged students to cherish their academic years, establish clear career objectives, and maintain rigorous standards in future internships and employment. Li further expressed the company's enthusiasm for welcoming young talent and willingness to collaborate with the school in building talent development platforms to cultivate high-skilled professionals for the clock industry.

This activity not only allowed students to appreciate the craftsmanship spirit and cultural heritage of a century-old enterprise firsthand but also laid solid groundwork for deeper collaboration between the institution and Polaris Clock Group in internships, curriculum development, and talent cultivation. Moving forward, the school will continue enhancing industry-education integration through organizing more high-quality corporate activities to support students' academic achievement, skill application, and career establishment.
