Pang Dong Lai is set to enter the real estate market. In a recent livestream, Yu Donglai stated that after the completion of Dream City, if space permits, several residential communities will be built. "One will be for settling Pang Dong Lai employees, and the other will be open to the public." He mentioned that the architectural design materials, construction quality standards, and specific construction costs will all be made public. The properties will be sold with a reasonable profit margin, aiming for healthy development without disrupting the market and ensuring the rights and interests of every resident are protected. On May 20, Pang Dong Lai founder Yu Donglai posted on social media with accompanying images, revealing that the highly anticipated Pang Dong Lai Dream City project has commenced construction. Yu Donglai commented, "For a better tomorrow, the time and place where dreams begin." It is reported that the Dream City project was acquired by Pang Dong Lai at the end of 2025, with construction starting in April 2026. It is planned to be developed into a "super commercial real estate project" and is expected to open to the public in September 2029. Official information indicates that Pang Dong Lai Dream City (originally named "Free City") is located in the eastern district of Xuchang, Henan, with a total construction area of approximately 420,000 to 600,000 square meters. The first phase includes an 8-story commercial complex with over 3,300 parking spaces. The construction and fitting-out investment is estimated at around 65 billion yuan (excluding land costs).
