At the start of morning trading on September 23, 2026, domestic futures for major contracts showed mixed results, with notable losses in the energy and chemical sectors.

SC crude oil and ethylene glycol fell by more than 3%, while polyester staple fiber, bottle-grade PET chips, and liquefied petroleum gas dropped over 2%. Styrene, polypropylene monthly average, and plastics monthly average were down by nearly 2% each.

On the gains side, containerized shipping (Europe route) advanced by more than 2%, while platinum, silver, nickel, lithium carbonate, and cast aluminum each rose over 1%. Stainless steel and international copper edged up by nearly 1%.
