On January 23, financial authorities disclosed that according to the Administrative Penalty Decision Public Notice (Ke Yin Fa Jue Zi [2026] No. 1) issued by the People's Bank of China Karamay City Branch, China Construction Bank Corporation's Karamay Oil Branch was warned and fined 634,000 yuan.

The penalty was imposed for violations including breaches of payment settlement management regulations, non-compliance with currency and precious metals management rules, and failures in anti-money laundering control requirements.
