The China Construction Bank Corporation (HKEX: 00939) has announced the successful completion of a bond issuance.

Following approval from the relevant regulatory bodies, the bank recently issued the China Construction Bank Corporation 2026 Tier 2 Capital Bonds (First Tranche) (Bond Connect) in the national interbank bond market. The issuance was finalized on June 9, 2026.

The total issuance size for this tranche is 60 billion yuan. These are 10-year fixed-rate bonds featuring a conditional issuer call option at the end of the fifth year. The coupon rate has been set at 1.89%.

The funds raised from this bond issuance will be used to supplement the bank's Tier 2 capital, in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory approvals.
