The company has issued a statement addressing its recent listing by the U.S. Department of Defense.

WUXI APPTEC (ASX: 02359) has announced that it became aware on June 8, 2026 (U.S. time) that the U.S. Department of Defense erroneously included the company in an updated formal list of "Chinese military companies" identified under Section 1260H.

The firm asserts that the basis for this inclusion is fundamentally incorrect and plans to take immediate action to challenge and rectify the erroneous designation.

The company states it does not meet the statutory criteria for being classified as a "Chinese military company."

This conclusion is based on the fact that the company is not owned, controlled, or affiliated with any Chinese military or governmental entity, does not provide services to the Chinese military, and has no connections to China's defense industrial base or civil-military integration initiatives.

Therefore, the allegations supporting its inclusion on the 1260H list are completely inconsistent with the facts.

WUXI APPTEC describes itself as an independent public company collaborating with thousands of partners across more than 30 countries, dedicated to developing life-saving medicines for patients worldwide.

The company credits its commitment to excellence, safety, and innovation for earning client trust over more than 25 years.

Its global operational track record, it states, demonstrates its integrity, having successfully passed over 50 inspections by U.S., EU, and other regulatory authorities, along with hundreds of client audits, in 2025 alone.
