On May 22, Nike China announced the official launch of its North China Logistics Center, located on Jinghai Fifth Road in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. Operated by YUEHAI Global Supply Chain, the center spans approximately 110,000 square meters and integrates three major functional warehouses—a national distribution center, a regional service center, and an urban service center—alongside a sports park. It will serve Nike's retail partners across eight provinces in North China, directly operated stores in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and e-commerce consumers nationwide.

The new center is designed to enable Nike to serve consumers more swiftly and accurately, reducing the average fulfillment time to within three days. Consumers in Beijing and Tianjin are expected to benefit from same-day delivery services. Additionally, this facility becomes Nike's second-largest e-commerce warehousing center in Greater China.

To further enhance supply chain efficiency, the logistics center employs intelligent operations within a highly integrated functional system. For instance, the Auto Sorter system automates the end-to-end process from inbound receiving to sorting. Future plans include the gradual implementation of automated three-dimensional storage systems, robotic arm work units, and an intelligent high-speed conveyance network. These advancements will drive continuous upgrades in warehousing and distribution capabilities, evolving toward a more efficient "fully automated warehouse."

Chang Yuan, Vice President of Operations at Nike China, stated, "The launch of the North China Logistics Center represents a significant step in Nike's ongoing investment in China and the strengthening of our local supply chain capabilities. This project, by creating a more agile, resilient, and sustainable supply chain system, will help us serve the North China market with greater speed and efficiency, benefiting consumers nationwide."

Coinciding with the center's launch, Nike and Tsinghua University signed a letter of intent for cooperation on a "Carbon Neutrality Capability Enhancement Project." This initiative aims to support talent development and technological innovation in line with China's dual carbon goals.
