On the afternoon of January 20, it was learned that Taobao Flash Sale has launched the "Eight Major Spring Festival Care Initiatives for Urban Riders" to genuinely care for frontline delivery personnel in cities during the holiday period.
This year, Taobao Flash Sale has invested nearly 20 billion yuan to enhance incentives for urban riders, collaborating with Alipay to further implement the "touch-to-pay" feature for entering residential compounds, and partnering with Fliggy to subsidize train tickets for riders returning home and coming back to work. Concurrently, it has introduced a series of activities, including tier protection, New Year gift packages, free smart locker storage for meals, reunion dinner offerings, and a 45 million yuan subsidy for riders to upgrade their equipment, aiming to broaden service dimensions and create a more systematic and warmer Spring Festival support system, ensuring urban riders are not only "fairly compensated for their work" but also "feel secure at heart" during the holidays.
Reportedly, to increase the income of urban riders during the 2026 Spring Festival and reward them for staying at their posts, Taobao Flash Sale will invest nearly 20 billion yuan from February 4 to March 3 to subsidize riders who continue making deliveries. The subsidies will offer full-cycle delivery incentives to riders in directly operated cities nationwide, including pre-holiday rush order bonuses, per-order bonuses during the festival, and post-holiday return-to-work bonuses, allowing riders to upgrade their service tiers more quickly and enjoy higher-tier benefits. Taking Shanghai as an example, riders who consistently make deliveries are expected to earn several thousand to over ten thousand yuan more compared to ordinary days.
Furthermore, addressing the need for some riders to return home or take brief breaks during the Spring Festival, Taobao Flash Sale will launch the "Spring Festival Tier Protection Plan" from February 9 to March 10, enabling urban riders to maintain their service tiers while enjoying their holidays and seamlessly resume work afterward.
