According to information obtained on the 11th from the Beijing Sub-Center Investment and Construction Group Co., Ltd., the Beijing Art Museum project has commenced construction as a landmark cultural initiative for Beijing's 15th Five-Year Plan period. The project is situated in the Beijing municipal administrative center, east of the Sixth Ring Road and directly above the Sports Center station of the Metro Line M101. The design aims to create open and dynamic exhibition spaces that facilitate a "dialogue" between the public and art, fostering a strong connection.
Upon completion, the Beijing Art Museum will become a super-large comprehensive art museum, systematically displaying renowned domestic and international works of art including paintings, calligraphy, and sculptures. It will be developed into an integrated cultural space combining art exhibitions, cultural exchanges, and leisure services. The museum will complement the "three major structures" - the Beijing Art Center, the Beijing City Library, and the Beijing Grand Canal Museum - injecting new momentum into the cultural tourism industry of the Beijing sub-center and further enriching public cultural life.
