Hong Kong Stock Movement | SINOMAB BIO-B Surges Over 25% in Late Trading on Robust Pipeline and High BD Potential

Stock News
06/11

Shares of SINOMAB BIO-B (03681) surged more than 25% in late trading. At the time of reporting, the stock was up 25.93% to HK$1.36, with a turnover of HK$18.0992 million.

In May of this year, the company presented preclinical research results for its self-developed, first-in-class humanized anti-gc antibody, the novel anti-CGC antibody hC2, at the 2026 Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID) Annual Meeting in Chicago. The data demonstrated that hC2 effectively suppressed skin autoimmune reactions driven by autoreactive T cells by selectively modulating the gc-dependent cytokine signaling pathway. The company stated it is currently conducting CMC optimization and toxicology studies for this antibody and plans to submit an IND application for treating alopecia areata as early as the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company's rich development pipeline also includes SM17, which has shown excellent anti-pruritic effects, skin clearance rates, and safety in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, with potential applications in asthma and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Analysts have previously noted that the company has a clear strategy focused on driving growth through research and development, concentrating on "first-in-class" and "best-in-class" candidates. The approval of a new drug clinical trial for the innovative product SM17 in treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is expected to accelerate its development. As various pipeline assets are anticipated to enter key clinical stages and read out data in 2026-2027, the company is well-positioned to advance significant business development opportunities.
