Alphabet has increased the scale of its equity financing to $84.75 billion, signaling robust investor interest as the tech giant actively expands its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and computing power.

On Monday, Alphabet stated it would raise $80 billion to fuel its AI ambitions. In a filing dated June 2nd, the company detailed plans to raise $18 billion through the sale of Class A and Class C shares, and an additional $16.75 billion via depositary shares. The company's initial plan was to raise $30 billion through a concurrent public offering underwritten by investment banks, with the two parts comprising equal portions.

The company's plans to raise $10 billion through a private placement to Berkshire Hathaway and to raise $40 billion in the third quarter via an "at-the-market" (ATM) offering remain unchanged.

The company indicated that the share offering is expected to be completed on June 4th, with the depositary shares settling the following day.
