September 26 afternoon - External data from Zhuanzhuan shows that the launch of Apple's iPhone 15 series drove a significant surge in iPhone 14 series recycling volumes, with a year-over-year increase of 609%. Multi-category businesses represented by luxury goods, watches and headphones, photography equipment, and gaming accessories also achieved double-digit growth in recycling volumes.

With the iPhone 15 series launch, a wave of secondhand Apple device recycling emerged. Zhuanzhuan data indicates that on Apple's official release day, the total transaction value of Zhuanzhuan's officially verified Apple device recycling orders exceeded 100 million yuan, setting a new single-day recycling record.

According to the head of Zhuanzhuan's recycling business, this year's iPhone 15 series product updates were substantial, with strong consumer purchasing intentions, benefiting the growth of Zhuanzhuan's official verification recycling business orders. Current data shows iPhone 14 series recycling order volumes have increased 609% compared to the iPhone 13 series in the same period last year. It is expected that with the continued release of Apple's iPhone 15 series, order volumes will continue to rise.

Beyond mobile phones, Zhuanzhuan's official verification recycling business achieved varying degrees of growth across categories including laptops, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, photography equipment, and gaming accessories, with multi-category recycling GMV achieving double-digit year-over-year growth.

Zhuanzhuan data shows that Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo recycling orders increased 179% year-over-year recently. The head of Zhuanzhuan's official verification marketplace explained that high-end models from these brands have captured demand from non-Apple users in the consumer market for "consumption upgrades and foldable device experiences," creating new growth curves for brand premium models in the secondhand market.

Since 2019, Zhuanzhuan Group has shifted its business development focus to the C2B2C model, committed to creating a "service-oriented" secondhand trading experience for users. The company pioneered "official verification" services by establishing professional quality inspection teams and standardized testing processes to ensure secondhand product quality.

Official data shows Zhuanzhuan has established three major quality inspection centers nationwide in Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Qingdao, employing over 2,500 quality inspection engineers. The company also has nearly 3,000 door-to-door recycling engineers nationwide, with door-to-door recycling services extending to over 1,300 district and county-level cities across the country. Its offline brand store count has exceeded 1,000, covering over 300 cities nationwide.

Recently, Zhuanzhuan chose to gradually shut down its free marketplace and focus entirely on officially verified secondhand goods. Zhuanzhuan Group CEO Huang Wei stated that choosing to focus on "officially verified secondhand goods" aims to meet users' new demands in secondhand transactions, attempting to standardize non-standard products as much as possible and provide users with "certainty" in their experience.
