The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce has recently released the "Guangzhou Commercial Development '15th Five-Year' Plan (Public Consultation Draft)" for public feedback.

It highlights the optimization of the industrial layout. The city will focus intensely on facilitating the implementation of major projects in key sectors, including intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, ultra-high-definition video and new display technologies, green petrochemicals and new materials, intelligent equipment and robotics, 人工智能 (AI), semiconductors and integrated circuits, and the low-altitude economy. This initiative aims to cultivate a group of leading intermediate goods enterprises, such as high-tech firms, manufacturing single-product champions, and specialized and sophisticated SMEs.

The plan also seeks to accelerate the development of intermediate goods trade within foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases, fostering a number of well-known brands and "chain master" enterprises. It supports companies in utilizing technologies like industrial internet, big data, and 人工智能 (AI) for digital transformation, enhancing production efficiency and product quality, and propelling intermediate goods trade towards higher value-added, digital, and intelligent advancement.
