(600000) for a total consideration of 356.1 million yuan. The structured deposits are principal-protected products offering a minimum guaranteed return plus a potential floating return. The issuer is a well-known bank in China. The directors believe the transactions provide the group with returns superior to those typically available from time deposits at Chinese commercial banks. The transactions are funded from the group's surplus cash reserves and will therefore not impact its working capital position or operations. Appropriate low-risk financial management helps improve the utilization efficiency of idle funds and increases the group's investment income. Consequently, the directors consider the transactions to be conducted on normal commercial terms, fair and reasonable, and in the overall interests of the company and its shareholders.
