China Shenhua Energy Company Limited recently announced that the No. 4 generation unit of the Phase II Expansion Project at China Energy Shenhua Jiujiang Power Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary) successfully completed a 168-hour continuous full-load trial run. This achievement marks the full commercial operation of both 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired generation units under Jiujiang Phase II.

Jiujiang Phase II is a key project under Jiangxi Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan and is located in Liusi Town, Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. During the trial run, the unit operated smoothly with environmental performance meeting ultra-low emission standards for dust, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. With both units established, the project is positioned to bolster energy security in Jiangxi Province and the Central China region, while supporting local social and economic development.
