CGN New Energy Holdings (CGN New Energy) reported consolidated power generation of 1.65 billion kWh in April 2026, down 1.6% year-on-year (YoY). The decline was driven primarily by a 21.9% YoY contraction in mainland China wind power output to 0.79 billion kWh, attributed to notably lower average wind speeds in key operating regions.

Contrasting the wind shortfall, several segments delivered solid growth: • Mainland China solar generation rose 24.6% YoY to 0.27 billion kWh, supported by substantial capacity additions. • Mainland China hydro output jumped 75.5% YoY to 0.02 billion kWh on increased water inflows at the Guangxi Zhuang facility. • Korean projects generated 0.57 billion kWh, up 30.8% YoY, reflecting normal operations at the Yulchon I gas-fired plant and the Daesan biomass unit after last year’s maintenance-related curtailments.

Cumulatively for the four months to 30 April 2026, group generation totaled 6.42 billion kWh, marginally lower by 0.5% YoY. Segment trends were mixed:

• Mainland China wind: 3.15 billion kWh (-17.0% YoY) • Mainland China solar: 0.95 billion kWh (+33.5% YoY) • Mainland China gas-fired: 0.01 billion kWh (+1,200.0% YoY; low base effect) • Mainland China hydro: 0.05 billion kWh (+12.2% YoY) • Korea: 2.26 billion kWh (+23.1% YoY)
