Hainan Summer Talent Fair Releases First Batch of State-Owned Enterprise Positions
From 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on August 15, the Hainan Province 2026 Summer Talent Fair, hosted by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, will be held at the Provincial Human Resources Development Bureau's Haikou Jiangdong Public Recruitment Service Hall (opposite the Meiling South Fifth Road bus stop, Meilan District, Haikou). Currently, in the first batch of state-owned enterprise positions released by the organizers, the highest monthly salary reaches 40,000 yuan. The positions are primarily divided into management and technical categories, including deputy general manager, general manager assistant, factory director, marketing director, business director, process engineer, equipment engineer, electromechanical engineer, fire protection engineer, automation engineer, software development engineer, and hardware research and development personnel.
Construction of the Second Phase of the Hainan Provincial Urban Operation Management Service Platform Project Launched
Recently, the kick-off meeting for the second phase of the Hainan Provincial Urban Operation Management Service Platform project was held in Haikou. This project will be based on the overall layout of Smart Hainan construction, expanding and upgrading from the first phase's "unified network management" foundation. It will build four major business segments: digital engineering, digital housing, digital cities, and digital villages, further enhancing the scientific, refined, and intelligent level of urban governance, serving the high-quality development of urban and rural areas in the Hainan Free Trade Port. Once completed, the platform will strongly support key tasks such as urban renewal, gas safety rectification, and road connectivity improvements, installing a digital "smart hub" for the construction of a livable city in the Free Trade Port.

New Freshwater Fish Species Discovered in Hainan, Named Qiongzhou Pseudobagrus
Recently, researchers from the Hainan Academy of Ocean and Fisheries Sciences, under Hainan Tropical Ocean University, conducted routine monitoring of major rivers on Hainan Island and discovered a species of Pseudobagrus fish distributed in the Nandu River and Changhua River basins. This species shows significant morphological differences from all known Pseudobagrus species. After molecular phylogenetic analysis, it was confirmed as a new species. The research team named it Qiongzhou Pseudobagrus, with the species name "Qiongzhou" derived from the historical name of Hainan Island, reflecting the species' distinct regional characteristics. The study shows that Qiongzhou Pseudobagrus is morphologically similar to the Anal-spotted Pseudobagrus distributed in the Pearl River basin and the Sino-Vietnamese Pseudobagrus distributed in the Red River basin, but can be distinguished through three-dimensional principal component analysis of measurement traits and morphological features such as the ratio of maxillary barbel length.
Hainan to Issue New Batch of Savings Bonds (Certificates) from August 10
According to the Hainan Provincial Branch of the People's Bank of China, the fifth and sixth issues of savings bonds (certificates) will be issued from August 10 to August 19, 2026. Additionally, on August 10, Hainan Province will launch the savings bond service platform "Coconut Island Savings Bond Pass," allowing investors to access bond information and enjoy convenient services with a "tap of a finger." The total planned maximum issuance for the fifth and sixth issues of government bonds is 300 billion yuan. Investors in Hainan Province can purchase the two issues of savings bonds (certificates) at the over-the-counter counters of 15 underwriting banks. Hainan Provincial Games Table Tennis Competition Concludes with 21 Gold Medals for Teams and Individuals
On August 7, the table tennis events of the 7th Hainan Provincial Games concluded after five days of competition. A total of 21 gold medals were awarded in categories including men's and women's team events in Groups A, B, and C; mixed doubles in Groups A, B, and C; men's and women's doubles in Groups A, B, and C; men's and women's singles in Groups A, B, and C; and overall men's and women's team scores.
