Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM), the world's largest dedicated semiconductor foundry, announced on Saturday that evacuation initiation standards had been met at some facilities within the Hsinchu Science Park, where its headquarters is located, following an earthquake.
In a brief statement, TSMC said, "We place the safety of our personnel first and are conducting outdoor evacuations and personnel headcounts in accordance with emergency response procedures. Currently, the safety production systems at all facilities are operating normally."
