During a media dialogue following the China debut event for the XPeng MONA L03, XPeng Inc. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng, along with the company's Senior Director of Vehicle Products Yang Guang and brand ambassador Ouyang Nana, shared their insights.

He Xiaopeng highlighted that China is at the forefront of intelligent assisted driving, both in terms of corporate execution and the formulation of relevant laws and regulations. He referenced the recent United Nations global technical regulation for automated driving systems, a key contributor to which was China. This regulation covers levels L2 through L5, with L2 being comprehensive. This means that by December this year, China's current L2 intelligent assisted driving systems will be usable globally, which presents a significant advantage for XPeng's international expansion.

He Xiaopeng further revealed that he had proposed a recommendation earlier this year, advocating for China to accelerate the development of intelligent assisted driving, aiming to progress directly from L2 to L4 and L5, bypassing L3. He admitted that just two years ago, he was skeptical about the practical deployment of L4 and L5 technology. However, the advancements in AI over the recent two years, particularly in relation to autonomous driving and physical AI, have provided tremendous momentum. Consequently, he expressed strong conviction that within the next three to five years, the industry will witness not only the deployment of L4 but even L5 autonomous driving, enabling safe, smooth, and efficient operation across all scenarios. He believes this progression will surpass everyone's expectations.
