Singapore – Sep, 15 2026 – EGP Energy Corporation Limited (EGX) said its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, EGP Infrastructure Investments Pte. Ltd., has signed a joint-venture agreement with Kum Fatt Engineering Sdn. Bhd., a unit of UUE Holdings Berhad, to target extra-high-voltage power-grid projects in Malaysia.

The partners will set up EGP-UUE Power System Engineering Sdn. Bhd. with an initial paid-up capital of 1.0 million Malaysian ringgit. EGP Infrastructure will own 60% of the new entity, while Kum Fatt Engineering will hold the remaining 40%.

The joint venture will deliver turnkey power-grid solutions, including the supply, installation and commissioning of equipment with voltages of up to 500kV, as well as the construction of transmission and distribution systems.

EGP Energy said the deal marks its first overseas expansion since its Jul, 29 2026 listing and aligns with the geographical growth plans set out at its IPO. The company aims to tap Malaysia’s expanding grid-modernisation programme and rising electricity demand from data centres, industrial projects and renewable-energy integration.

Executive chairman and chief executive Frankie Fan said the partnership provides a local platform for long-term growth in Malaysia, combining EGP Energy’s extra-high-voltage expertise with Kum Fatt Engineering’s on-the-ground market knowledge.
