In a speech delivered at the Livis Day Li Auto Software and Embodied Intelligence launch event, the Chairman and CEO of Li Auto Inc. (LI) presented his views.

He stated that today's smartphones and so-called smart cars are not genuinely intelligent. At their core, they remain "function-driven" rather than being a living, intelligent entity. He identified three critical dimensions for intelligent vehicles: safety, capability, and efficiency.

First, safety. The traditional definition of safety in smart cars is "functional safety," which prioritizes liability limitation. True embodied intelligence, however, must center on protecting human safety as its core principle and must achieve a safety standard superior to that of a human.

Second, capability. Traditional smart cars operate with "specific functions for specific scenarios." Genuine embodied intelligence, in terms of capability, must comprehensively learn human skills, with the more crucial aspect being the ability to complete tasks independently.

Third, efficiency. The traditional model is "human-machine co-driving and collaboration." True embodied intelligence must achieve higher efficiency than humans. Protecting human safety, completing tasks independently, and being more efficient than people—this is the intelligence everyone desires.

"We aim to use embodied intelligence to build you a car that protects human safety, completes tasks independently, and is more efficient than humans—a true embodied intelligent vehicle," he emphasized. He defined Li Auto's embodied intelligent vehicle as a "four-in-one" entity: an electric vehicle, a professional driver, an AI computer, and a life assistant. The electric vehicle and AI computer constitute the "embodied" part, while the professional driver and life assistant represent the "intelligence."
