Vermilion Energy's stock plummeted 7.19% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results.
The energy company reported quarterly losses of $(2.86) per share on the TSX and $(2.05) per share on the NYSE, representing dramatic increases in losses compared to the same period last year. Sales also declined approximately 9% year-over-year.
Investors reacted negatively to the significant deterioration in earnings, driving the sharp after-hours decline as the market digested the disappointing financial performance.
