Guangdong Province's government released a notice this afternoon regarding the adjustment of the province's minimum wage standards. This move aims to implement the strategic plan to "improve the mechanism for adjusting minimum wage standards," in accordance with the Labor Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on Minimum Wage.

Taking into account the province's economic and social development, the government has decided to revise the minimum wage. Beginning September 1, 2026, the monthly minimum wage for full-time employees and the hourly minimum wage for part-time workers will be updated.

The new standards divide the province into three categories. Guangzhou and Shenzhen fall under the first tier, with Guangzhou's monthly rate set at 2,680 yuan and Shenzhen's at 2,700 yuan. The corresponding part-time hourly wage for both cities is 25.4 yuan per hour. The second tier, set at 2,300 yuan per month, applies to Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, and Zhongshan, with a part-time hourly rate of 21.9 yuan.

The third tier, at 2,040 yuan per month, covers cities including Shantou, Shaoguan, Heyuan, Meizhou, Huizhou, Shanwei, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, Maoming, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Chaozhou, Jieyang, and Yunfu, where the part-time hourly wage will be 20.2 yuan.
