Sembcorp Industries (U96) said on Dec, 8 2025 that it is evaluating acquisition opportunities, including a possible bid for Australia-based Alinta Energy, following media reports.

The company emphasised that discussions remain in progress and that no definitive agreement has been reached, adding there is no certainty any transaction will proceed.

Sembcorp stated it will release further updates if material developments arise and advised shareholders to exercise caution when dealing in its shares.
