FIH’s 2025 ESG Report Highlights 86.78% Carbon Cut, 58% Green Power and Accelerated Zero-Waste Drive

FIH released its 10th Environmental, Social and Governance report, detailing sharp improvements across climate, resource and governance metrics for FY-2025.

Financial and operating scale • FY-2025 revenue reached US$6.56 billion on a global footprint spanning six countries and 1.29 million m² of manufacturing and service space. • Headcount stood at 32,142 and the supplier base covered 1,175 partners worldwide.

Climate performance ahead of target • Market-based Scope 1 + 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 86.78% versus the 2020 baseline, far exceeding the interim 2025 target of –21%. • Renewable electricity supplied 58% of global operations; five sites source wind and solar via PPAs while five factories run rooftop PV systems that delivered 17.07 million kWh. • Eight sites, including headquarters, now hold UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill certificates (seven Platinum, one Gold). • New 2030 targets include a 75% renewable-energy share, a 30% recycled-water reuse rate and 98% industrial-waste conversion.

Ratings and certifications • Sustainalytics: “Low Risk” score 12.5, top 12% globally. • EcoVadis: upgraded to Silver, top 8% worldwide. • CDP Climate & Water: “B” scores maintained. • All major sites retain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; ISO 37001 anti-bribery and ISO 27001 information-security roll-outs continued. • Two Vietnamese and Indian plants keep SA8000 certification; China, Vietnam and Mexico sites completed RBA VAP audits with two Silver ratings.

Governance and board structure • The seven-member board comprises three independent non-executive directors and one female director, meeting previously stated diversity objectives. • ESG oversight is anchored by a board-level Sustainability Committee, supported by weekly environment, social and governance working teams.

Supply-chain and product stewardship • 100% of Tier-1 suppliers underwent ESG risk assessments; 21 key suppliers have committed to 100% renewable power for FIH production. • All electronics suppliers provide full RoHS and REACH declarations; 12 suppliers now hold UL 2799 Zero Waste certifications.

Community and workforce initiatives • Global Employee Assistance Programme launched with a 9.0 satisfaction score. • Average training hours reached 64.7 per employee; disabling-injury frequency rate held at 0.02 cases per million working hours.

Outlook FIH’s 2026-2030 roadmap targets a 70% cut in Scope 1 + 2 emissions (vs 2020) by 2030 and net-zero by 2050, underpinned by expanded green-energy procurement, circular-economy programmes and strengthened supplier decarbonisation requirements.
