According to the Ministry of Commerce, China's e-commerce sector has achieved stable and innovative development from January to July this year. The integration of online and offline channels has unlocked consumer potential, with nationwide online retail sales of goods and services growing 4.8% year-on-year in the first seven months. This growth has contributed more than 50% to the overall increase in retail sales of social goods and services.

Online platforms have expanded the scope of goods consumption while enhancing the convenience of service consumption. Data from key e-commerce platforms monitored by the Ministry of Commerce shows that sales in online tourism and online lifestyle services grew 24.9% and 16.3% respectively during the January-July period.

E-commerce has also driven industrial transformation and upgrading. Business big data monitoring reveals that online retail sales of agricultural products and rural commodities increased 12.8% and 5% respectively in the first seven months. Various regions have been cultivating "e-commerce plus industrial belts" by organizing e-commerce platforms to connect with specialized industrial clusters. As a result, industrial product and chemical product e-commerce transaction volumes grew 1.4% and 1.2% respectively during this period. Additionally, online shopping and digital content have spurred rapid growth in related service industries.
