A construction notice has been issued by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Highway Development Center for the 2025 road surface repair and maintenance project, which will be carried out under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the EPC-1 section.

The affected road sections include part of the Z522 line, specifically the Aweitatan Interchange on the Wukui Expressway to the Changji Aweitatan Airport section, from K8+710 to K16+000, covering a total length of 7.29 kilometers. This section will be fully closed for construction.

Additionally, two segments on the S203 line from Changji's Sangong Town to Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District) Bagang will also be affected. The first segment, from K0+000 to K6+800, will be fully closed. The second segment, from K16+690 to K17+690, will use a semi-alternating closure method, allowing traffic to pass while construction is underway.

The project is being managed by Xinjiang Road and Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd. and will be carried out from July 15 to September 30. The construction will use a combination of partial full closures and full closures, depending on the specific segment. Drivers and passengers are advised to pay attention to safety, reduce speed, and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
