A coordinated campaign to enhance public understanding of cybersecurity and strengthen protective measures across society was launched on September 14th in our county, marking the 2026 National Cybersecurity Awareness Week.

The event saw active participation from multiple government departments, with Guo Dengwen, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, in attendance. Key agencies including the County Party Committee's Publicity Department, the Cyberspace Administration, the Public Security Bureau, and the Education and Sports Bureau all took part in the initiative.

A lively atmosphere characterized the main venue, where various departments set up public service consultation booths. Through engaging display boards, distribution of educational brochures, and face-to-face Q&A sessions, organizers provided an immersive learning experience for residents on essential cybersecurity practices.

Focusing on everyday risks such as personal data breaches, telecom fraud, identifying online misinformation, and emerging AI-powered scams, staff members offered clear, practical explanations of relevant laws and regulations. Using real-world examples, they emphasized the importance of staying vigilant and equipped residents with the skills needed to identify threats, resist cybercrime, and safeguard their personal information and financial assets.

This centralized campaign effectively bridged the gap in cybersecurity education at the grassroots level, embedding key principles deeply within the community. Looking forward, the county plans to adapt its outreach for diverse audiences by expanding into villages, residential communities, and schools. These initiatives aim to broaden the reach and impact of cybersecurity awareness, creating a comprehensive protective framework for the county's digital environment and supporting the region's high-quality economic and social development with a safe and stable online ecosystem.
